FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I install Mister Mudflap products?
Installing our mudflaps is simple and can be done with basic tools. Since our mudflaps ship un-drilled, you have several mounting options. These will also vary depending the size of mudflap you plan to install. The traditional way of installing these large format mudflaps on an older style truck would be to utilize angle iron mounted either directly to the bumper or attached to the frame. You can either weld or bolt the angle iron in depending on whether you want the install to be permanent or semi-permanent. Pre-drill holes in your angle iron and proceed to attach to the truck body. From there, drill mounting holes through the rubber and secure the flap using stainless steel bolts or self-tapping screws. Frame mounted pre-fabricated mudflap hangers are also an option. You can find these on amazon or at any truck retailer. They are typically manufactured for use on semi trucks, so you may need to trim down the hanger based on your application. Mount these to the frame and then figure out placement of your mudflap to avoid rubbing on any body parts or exhaust. Smaller sized mudflaps can be utilized on newer style trucks by removing the factory mudflaps and tracing the outline onto your new Mister Mudflap purchase. Trim excess and replicate the factory mounting holes. The process usually takes less than an hour per pair, and the result is a custom fit that’s rugged, secure, and built to last.
What are Mister Mudflap mudflaps made from?
Every pair of Mister Mudflaps is crafted from heavy-duty, American-made recycled poly-rubber blend. Unlike thin flaps that crack and fade, our mudflaps are thick, rugged, and designed to last for years of road use. We use 3/8" rubber so your truck not only looks good but also stays protected.
Do the mudflaps come pre-drilled?
Our small and medium mudflaps ship un-drilled, larger style 24x30 mudflaps will come pre-drilled. That means you get to choose the exact placement and fit that works best for your truck, whether it’s a lifted rig, a classic pickup, or a fleet vehicle. This flexibility ensures a clean, custom look.
Will these mudflaps fit my truck?
Yes. Mister Mudflap products are designed to fit most classic full-size pickups, but they can also be trimmed for smaller trucks or imports. We designed them with versatility in mind so you can run them on everything from work trucks to show trucks.
Do you offer custom designs?
Absolutely. Whether you need a small order for your farm or a bulk order for a fleet, we can create custom mudflaps with logos, graphics, or state-themed designs. Fleet buyers love this option because it gives their vehicles a consistent, professional look.
Where are your mudflaps made?
All of our mudflaps are proudly made in the USA. From the rubber to the craftsmanship, every step happens here at home to support American manufacturing.
Why did you make these mudflaps?
Mister Mudflap was born while daydreaming in a rainy Seattle garage to photos of vintage farm trucks. After years of seeing trucks roll by with flimsy plastic mudflaps, we wanted something better — flaps that looked tough, felt vintage, and could survive the elements. What began as a small project in the Pacific Northwest has grown into a mission: bringing back rugged, vintage-style mudflaps that combine durability, heritage, and American grit.
How thick are the mudflaps?
Each flap is 3/8" thick, giving you a durable layer of protection against rocks, rain, and road grime. They’re built for people who want more than just function — they want style that lasts.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes, we ship across the United States. Need a set overseas? Reach out to us directly and we’ll make it happen.
Why choose Mister Mudflap?
Because we’re not just making mudflaps — we’re building a piece of truck culture. Our products combine timeless design with practical durability, so whether you’re driving down a muddy back road, hauling cross-country, or just parking at the local diner, your truck looks the part.
